This online forum for UU's and friends from MUUSJA's region is an opportunity to share and discuss what's happening with immigration sanctuary, accompaniment, and resistance work. Grounded in UU principles and liberation theology, and viewing immigration justice as anti-racism work, we will hear from clergy and frontline partners, UU organizers, and one another in conversation. Interfaith and intercultural work in Greater Minnesota informs resistance to xenophobia and immigrant worker exploitation, detention, and deportation. Metro congregations will share experience with developing mutual aid funds, court observers, community meals, and sanctuary lodgings. Resources for education and advocacy, and planning for direct action as we move into 2021, will keep us connected across congregations.
